1. Introduction
FeedAgent is an intelligent feed reader that learns what you find interesting and uses that knowledge to determine if future news are likely to interest you or not. This software is provided free of charge and contains no ads.
2. Getting started
When FeedAgent is started for the first time, it will take you to the built-in feed directory. This is a categorized constantly updated directory with hundreds of popular feeds. After selecting the feeds you want to follow, subscriptions will be created and FeedAgent will start monitoring for new information.
If you already have your favourite feeds set up in another feed reader, you can simply export those from your old reader and import them to FeedAgent.
3. Recommendations
FeedAgent learns your interests by analyzing your behavior and from what you tell it. You can rate items as interesting or
boring if you like, otherwise FeedAgent will rely on your behavior.
At first, recommendations are disabled as FeedAgent does not know anything about your interests. An indicator on the bottom right corner of the main window shows the status of recommendations at any time. After you have rated or visited (double-clicked) a certain number of items, the recommendations will be activated.
After recommendations are activated, FeedAgent will continue to learn about your interests and never stops doing this in fact. FeedAgent will adapt fully to changes in your interests over time.
